Ex-Cricketers Also Vocal With Same Views

Indian legends Sunil Gavaskar and Irfan Pathan also want both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in domestic cricket tournaments like the Deodhar Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy to keep them match fit. Gavaskar and Pathan said Rohit Sharma and Kohli must play domestic cricket. If they don’t, reaching the 2027 World Cup will be difficult.

Rohit Sharma is 38 now, and Virat Kohli is 36, and they will be 40 and 38, respectively, by 2027. BCCI is already planning for the big event in 2027, and Rohit and Kohli may not fit into their plans.
