Advance Booking and Screens

Dhadak 2 is releasing at around 1000 screens around India, and booking is picking up quickly. 12,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow in one hour, from 12 PM to 1 PM on 31st July. With 50 percent off on all shows on the first day, bookings are filling fast.

Son of Sardar 2 will release at 2500 screens all over India. The producers were planning to release it with 3500 screens, but the screens got divided because of a clash with Dhadak 2. Advance booking has been reasonably good, with 1.26 lakh tickets sold for the first day, and the movie is offering a 50 percent discount on tickets for the first day on BookMyShow.

Who will win the box office race?

Both films are trying to outshine each other by offering discounts to the viewers on the day 1 of their release. Son of Sardar 2 looks to have an edge initially with its star power and more screens. Dhadak 2 can pick up with word-of-mouth publicity, and the storyline is also a big plus ,which caters to the youth. But the big question with the discounts is that has Bollywood lost confidence in its content?
