Akshay Is Referred As ‘Flop Actor’ In Welcome To The Jungle
- Akshay Kumar recently attended the trailer launch event of the film.
- He was asked about being referred to as a ‘flop actor’. He said “We are not told that you have to use such dialogues as taunts. So, when you watch a movie, I am sure you are a smart person. Whenever you watch a movie, you watch it according to the character of the movie. So, please, thank you for feeling bad about it. But don’t take it so seriously”
- If the reports are to be believed Akshay has signed the film for just Rs1.8 Crore.
- He is doing the film on a profit sharing basis. He will get 72% of the IPR share and the remaining 28% goes to the producer.

- In an interaction with ANI, he said “It is an action, comedy, and fun film. But the problem here was not action. Problem yeh tha ki aise mahaul mein straight face kaise rakhe. (The problem here was how to keep a straight face in such an environment.)
- Kyunki co-artist jab koi punch line maarta, hans dete the shot kat jata tha. (The real challenge wasn’t the action. It was keeping a straight face. Whenever a co-actor delivered a punchline, everyone would burst out laughing.)”

- Talking about Welcome To The Jungle, Taran said “In the 70s, 80s and even in the 90s, a lot of stress buster movies were released. And somewhere we lost our way and we started making metro centric and overseas-friendly films. I am not saying it’s wrong.
- He added “But if you have to cater to the audience at the larger level, they want to be entertained and go into the world of belief. It is very important that we give the audience what they want to watch; not what we want to watch. There is a difference between that.
