Steffi Graf: The German tennis player ruled women’s tennis and was No.1 for 377 weeks. Graf also has the WTA record of being No.1 for 186 weeks consecutively. The record was equalled by Serena Williams. She has won 22 singles Grand Slam titles and she is the only player to win a golden Grand Slam in 1988. 

Martina Navratilova: The Czech-US player has many records to her name. She held the world No. 1 WTA for 332 weeks. She also ranked No. 1 in the doubles for 237 weeks. That makes her the only player with 200 plus weeks as No.1 in both singles and doubles. Martina has won 167 singles titles and 177 doubles championships which is the most by any player.

Serena Williams: The American held the no.1 WTA title for 319 weeks. Which makes her the third all time player to be the No.1 after Steffi Graf and Martina Navratilova. Serena has the WTA record of 23 singles titles. She regained the No.1 spot at the age 35 which is also a record in the WTA.  

Roger Federer: The Swiss player stayed at the No.1 spot for 310 weeks. He is second after Djokovic to be at the top spot in the ATP rankings. Federer also has a unique record to his name of holding on to the No.1 spot for 237 weeks consecutively. He has won the Wimbledon title a record 8 times in men’s tennis. 

Pat Rafter: The Australian player has stayed in the  No.1 spot for the shortest period of time in ATP. He became the number one player on 26 July 1999 for just one week. He had no matches during the week and was succeeded by Pete Samras.

Carlos Moya: Carlos was ranked No. 1 for just 2 weeks. The Spanish player became the ATP No.1 on 15th March 1999. He had reached the final of the Indian Wells Masters to become No.1. But soon Pete Sampras took over as the top player in the ATP rankings.

Evonne Goolagong Cawley: The Australia tennis player stayed at the No.1 spot for just two weeks in 1976. But she got recognition for it in the year 2007. WTA clarified that several papers went missing which had records from April to July of 1976. She got the recognition when everything came into place.
