Metro in Dino hits the silver screen on 4th July 2025. The film is directed by Anurag Basu, is a musical romantic drama film, and not a direct sequel to, but a spiritual sequel to the 2007 blockbuster ‘Life In A Metro’.

The film is produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions, and it is directed by Anurag Basu. The film has music by Pritam and is written by Anurag Basu, Samrat Chakravarty, and Sandeep Srivastava.

Is the movie a sequel to Life in a Metro?

Anurag Kashyap said in an interview that the movie is not a sequel to Life in a Metro. Both films are produced and directed by the same individuals, and that’s the reason they have used the term “Metro”. The story is set in a metro, and with stories of a few couples, and that is the reason for the title.

Movie’s Idea

Metro in Dino is a beautiful story of 4 couples with different colors of love. Anurag has said in a recent interview that ten years ago, Irrfan had dropped by his office and during their chat, Irrfan had asked him to make Metro 2.

Irrfan had played a key role in Life in a Metro, and there were a lot of rumors in 2017 that Irrfan was roped in for Metro 2, and the shooting will start soon. The project was delayed, and Irrfan passed away in 2020. Now the film is being released in a totally different shape with the name ‘Metro In Dino’.

Makers are confident in the project and expect the film to do well at the box office, and all the actors are capable of giving outstanding performances. The trailer of the movie looks promising, and Pritam’s music adds the flavour to the film. As a die-hard Bollywood fan, I expect it to be a good entertainer.
