Amitabh Bachchan turns 83 on 11th October 2025. He has ruled the Hindi film industry for more than 55 years. Big B made his debut in Bollywood in 1969 with Saat Hindustani. After 16 back-to-back flops to his credit, ‘Zanzeer’ broke the ice at the box office and emerged as the ‘Angry Young Man’.

He had a lean patch in between but made a big comeback with Mohabbattein and Kaun Banega Crorepati. He is a professional to the core and generally arrives half an hour before the scheduled time and rehearses his dialogues and scenes 10 to 12 times, even after working in the industry for more than 50 years.
Fans Celebrate Amitabh’s Birthday Twice A Year
Amitabh’s fans celebrate his birthday twice a year, once on 11th October and the other on 2nd August. The first is his real birthday, and 2nd August is the date on which he survived a fatal accident on the sets of ‘Coolie’. On 26th July 1982, he was critically injured while shooting for an action sequence for the movie. He was hospitalized immediately, and his condition was so bad that he was declared clinically dead for a few minutes. 2nd August is the date when doctors stated that he is out of danger and would survive the injury.
Working actively at 83 is true inspiration for everyone, and Amitabh loves to work. With many projects lined up for the next two years, he has a tight schedule for years to come.
