Metro in Dino hits the silver screen on 4th July 2025. The film is directed by Anurag Basu, is a musical romantic drama film, and not a direct sequel to, but a spiritual sequel to the 2007 blockbuster ‘Life In A Metro’.

The film is produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions, and it is directed by Anurag Basu. The film has music by Pritam and is written by Anurag Basu, Samrat Chakravarty, and Sandeep Srivastava.

Is the movie a sequel to Life in a Metro?

Anurag Kashyap said in recent conversation with media that the movie is not a sequel to Life in a Metro. Both movies are made by the same team and that’s the reason they have used the word “Metro”. The story is set in a metro and with stories of a few couples and that’s why the movie is named ‘LIfe In A Metro’.

Movie’s Idea

Metro in Dino is a beautiful story of 4 couples with different colors of love. Auraag said that it was Irrfan Khan’s idea and actor had asked him to make the part 2 of the film.

Irrfan was the part of the first part and everyone was certain that he will be in the second too. The movie was delayed and Irrfan left us 2020. Now the film is being released in a totally different shape with the name ‘Metro In Dino’.

The entire team is positive about the movie. With good performances and soulful music the movie is capable of doing good business. promising, and Pritam’s music adds the flavour to the film. As a die-hard Bollywood fan, I expect it to be a good entertainer.
