Just two days before the curtain rises on the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament, Novak Djokovic said this could be his ‘last dance’ at Wimbledon. The 38-year-old legend has 24 singles Grand Slam titles to his name and was very close to his 25th title at the French Open recently, where he lost in the semi-finals.
Djokovic’s 20th Appearance At Wimbledon
2025 marks Djokovic’s 20th appearance at Wimbledon, with seven titles to his name, and with one more, he will have eight singles titles to his name. Only Roger Federer has eight singles wins (men) to his credit in Wimbledon. He said, “It’s great to be back. I love Wimbledon. I’ve always loved it. I think in the last six editions, I had six finals. For one reason or several reasons, playing very well in Wimbledon, maybe the most consistently successful Grand Slam for me in the last 10 years.”

He would certainly like to add one more feather to his cap by getting his tally to 25, which no other tennis player has ever achieved. Novak Djokovic’s First Match In Record-High Temperatures
Novak has his first draw against Alexandre Muller of France on 1st July. The first day was the warmest opening day of Wimbledon in 147 years. With the mercury expected to be around 33 to 34 degrees Celsius on 1st July, it will be a hot day for the players. The temperatures are soaring high and the “heat rule” policy at Wimbledon can be used by players, which lets them request a 10-minute break and exit the court if the temperature is 30.1 degrees Celsius or more.
Djokovic is missing his competitor Nadal who stopped playing last year and he always keeps saying that he is affected by Nadal’s retirement. We hope Djokovic gives his best at Wimbledon and gets to the record.
